BOB'S BIO

Bob's entertainment journey began back in Spokane Washington, while as a child he enjoyed music and drama in his home church, which led to many opportunities to be involved in those productions; his church being very active in the arts.
He had a flare for entertaining right from the get-go, and found joy in cracking up his elementary schoolmates with goofy sound impressions and also performing puppet shows.
After Bob graduated from Eastern Washington University with degrees in Music.Ed. and Music Composition, he taught music and coached sports for 8 years in the Seattle area. As a music teacher he directed bands, orchestras, choirs and jazz ensembles.
He is advanced in singing, playing the piano, trombone, bass guitar and harmonica; is a musical arm virtuoso, and has performed professionally as a ventriloquist since high school. He also writes, arranges and orchestrates music.
Bob moved to Los Angeles 20 years ago, and in the last 18 years he has performed hundreds of shows for ‘Mad Science” at a variety of Special Events in the greater Los Angeles area, combining science and stand-up comedy.
Over the years he has developed concerts that he calls “Bob Hoover In Concert”, where he enjoys combining music, stand-up comedy and ventriloquism, and has performed for many different venues across the country.
Bob now enjoys living back in his hometown of Spokane, and is focusing all his time and energy towards his concert presentations and music recording. As well as a comedian and musician he has performed in theater, film, television productions and national commercials, and stays very busy continuing to pursue these ambitions.
